The Globalization area of the Midwest PCA/ACA invites papers/panels with theoretical, critical and empirical approaches to the study of popular culture on the global stage (ex. international media studies, the global intersection of culture, postcolonial studies, national cinema, world advertising campaigns, etc.). The conference will be held at the Sheraton Bloomington Hotel near the Mall of America in Minneapolis, Minnesota the weekend of October 1, 2010. Your 250-word abstract or panel proposal must be received by April 30, 2010. Please include the title of your paper, your name (and the names of any co-presenters), school affiliation, mailing address and email address. Also, please indicate in your submission whether your presentation will require a TV and DVD player. Note that LCD projectors will not be provided by MPCA/ACA.
